Terms of Service for Pest Control in Hartford, CT

What Our Pest Control Services Cover

Last updated: October 2026

Connecticut Pest Pros provides inspection, treatment, and follow-up visits for common household and commercial pests across Connecticut, including ants, rodents, cockroaches, bed bugs, wasps, termites, ticks, mosquitoes, and fleas. Work is performed by technicians holding Connecticut DEEP commercial pesticide applicator certification, in line with the Connecticut Pesticide Control Act and Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 441.

All pesticide use follows the product label and EPA pesticide product labeling and use directions, as required by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. Safety data sheets are available on request under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200.

Some work falls outside a standard service visit and requires a separate written agreement. Examples include structural repairs, attic cleanout and insulation replacement, disposal of hazardous materials under RCRA rules, and wildlife exclusion on commercial buildings. We will tell you clearly when a job needs that added scope before any work begins.

Appointments, Cancellations, and Changes

You can schedule a visit by phone or email. Once we confirm a date and arrival window, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled with less notice may be subject to a trip fee, since a technician and vehicle are already assigned.

Please prepare your home before we arrive: clear access to treatment areas, secure pets, and let us know about anyone in the household with pesticide sensitivities. If we cannot safely access the property or the areas needing treatment, we may need to reschedule and a trip fee may apply.

If we find a problem during the visit that was not part of the original request for example, termite activity discovered during a routine ant treatment we will stop, explain what we found, and get your approval in writing or by phone before expanding the scope. No extra work starts without your say-so.

Quotes, Pricing, and Payment Terms

Before most work begins, we provide a written estimate based on the inspection findings. The estimate lists the treatments planned, the number of visits included, and the total price. Estimates are valid for 30 days, since pest conditions and product availability can change.

Payment is due when service is completed unless you have arranged a service plan with scheduled billing. We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payment. For ongoing plans, recurring charges are billed on the schedule stated in your agreement.

If the scope changes mid-job such as a larger infestation than the estimate covered we will present the revised price and wait for your approval before continuing. You are never billed for unapproved work.

If you dispute a charge, contact us first and we will work to resolve it promptly. Prices quoted assume reasonable access to the property and accurate information about the pest problem.

Our Workmanship Warranty

Connecticut Pest Pros stands behind the quality of its treatments. If target pest activity returns within the warranty period stated on your service agreement, we will re-treat the affected areas at no additional charge. Warranty length varies by service type termite work, bed bug treatments, and general pest plans each carry different coverage periods, which we spell out in writing before you commit.

A few things can void coverage. The warranty does not apply if: you or another company apply pesticides to the treated areas after our visit; structural repairs, moisture problems, or sanitation issues that attract pests are left unaddressed; or new construction, renovation, or landscaping changes disturb treated zones. Conditions we identified and documented but you declined to fix are also excluded.

To make a warranty claim, call us with your service date and a description of the activity you are seeing. We will schedule a re-inspection and, if the claim is covered, a follow-up treatment.

Limits of Liability

Our responsibility for any claim connected to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for pre-existing property damage, structural issues, or infestations that existed before our first visit, or for damage caused by pests after recommended follow-up or repair steps were declined.

We carry the licenses and insurance required for pesticide application in Connecticut, and our technicians follow the Connecticut Pesticide Control Act, Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 441, and the pesticide-label requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. All products are applied according to EPA pesticide product labeling and use directions.

We are not responsible for losses caused by factors outside our control, including severe weather, construction on neighboring properties, or customer handling of treated areas contrary to our written instructions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Connecticut law.
